MOFGA Welcomes the Oggún Tractor

June 1, 2017 – MOFGA welcomed a new tool this spring – the Oggún Tractor manufactured by CleBer, LLC in Paint Rock, Alabama – for work and demonstration at the Common Ground Education Center in Unity. Originally envisioned for use in Cuba, the tractor is the brainchild of former IBM employees Horace Clemmons and Saul Berenthal.


Donor Addresses Climate Change by Giving MOFGA a Charitable Gift

A long-time MOFGA member recently asked if she could establish a Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) with MOFGA. I enthusiastically told her she would be establishing MOFGA's first such fund and we were grateful for her leadership. Within a few weeks the fund was set up and she transferred her gift.


MOFGA Grateful for 2017 Earth Day Volunteers

Despite the cold and rain, about 80 people showed up at MOFGA on April 22 to celebrate Earth Day by cleaning the grounds and gardens and planting more trees in our Maine Heritage Orchard. Thank you, volunteers! You make a huge difference. We are also grateful to MOFGA staff members Jason Tessier, Don Pendleton and Anna Libby for all their help in making Earth Day a success.
