Organic and Sustainable Agriculture News
Chemicals Leach From Packaging
Chemical & Engineering News - 8/31/2009.
Plastic, rubber, cardboard, metal, and glass packaging act as a barrier against all sorts of contamination, but they are also a source of contamination. ‘Late blight’ attack has become farmer’s version of terrorism
Kennebec Journal - 8/28/2009.
Op-Ed by Denis Thoet – The Northeast United State – of which Maine is still part of – may have experienced its first widespread terrorist attack since Sept. 11, 2001.

Bangor Daily News - 8/28/2009.
By Meg Adams – I expected that my time spent assisting Sue, a nurse practitioner serving migrant camps in rural Maryland, would be an eye-opening experience. But I did not expect to get so attached to our patients — or for one of our patients to be shot and killed before the week was through.
