Lambing and Kidding Expectations and Challenges

March 20, 2019
Wednesday, 10 a.m. to noon
Hamilton Farm, 6 South Fowles Lane, Whitefield
With Jacki Perkins, MOFGA's organic dairy and livestock specialist
This is a free event; no registration required.

We will join Patti Hamilton, shepherd of 30+ years and Henrietta Beaufait, DVM, CVH (retired) to review some of the best tools to have in our parturition kits for the season, problem solving techniques, and signs to look for when deciding whether to intervene or not. Patti is currently immersed in her lambing and kidding season, so there will be plenty of examples of the varying stages of pre- and post-natal signs in her ladies to review. Henrietta will be available to offer advice on organic appropriate treatments for potential problems that arise during lambing and kidding. If lambing and kidding still make you nervous, please join us and settle your nerves. Contact Jacki Perkins for more information.
