A Common Ground Country Fair Thank You

November 13, 2018

The week after the Fair was an explosion of beautiful autumn colors that carried forward the positive vibrations of the Fair into cleanup week. We are now receiving some much-needed rain, and the touch of winter in the air has started us dreaming of next year’s possibilities and reflecting on the season.

Looking back at the 42nd Common Ground Country Fair, I think of all the people who make the Fair special. Everyone contributes. Maybe you volunteer, sell organic produce, support your favorite local business, share your knowledge or offer kind words of encouragement. Thank you for being one of the 57,934 attendees who celebrated rural living with us.

This celebration would not have been possible without the help and generosity of 2,000 volunteers who worked over 10,000 hours to make sure all the details and events that make us unique were in place and maintained during the Fair. Our appreciation cannot be overstated. Thank you!

The Fair is continually evolving and there are many ways to get involved. Your input and dedication are needed. Please contact Andrew Graham, MOFGA’s community engagement coordinator, at agraham@mofga.org or 207-568-4142 to talk and learn about opportunities.

I hope the Fair left you with a full heart and an excitement for the upcoming 2019 Fair, as planning is well underway. Thank you for making the 42nd Common Ground Country Fair a remarkable event of peace, hope and community.
