 Whole Life Tent Minimize

Coordinators of The Whole Life Tent strive to offer programs that enhance our relationship with body, mind and spirit. Presentations include a wide variety of approaches to healing, wellness, overcoming of emotional obstacles, development of intuition, wisdom and understanding of what is needed for body, mind, spirit and emotional balance.

Please note: Noise can interfere with the unique presentations offered in Whole Life. Our presenters follow on each other's heels. If you'd like to chat with presenters after their programs, please wait until AFTER they've left the tent to approach them and please STEP AWAY from the tent so that your conversation doesn't interfere with the following program; and please modulate your voice accordingly.

2009 Whole Life Detailed Fair Schedule Minimize

Enlightened Living at the Whole Life Tent

Presenters in the Whole Life Tent this year show us how to live life in an enlightened way, walking the Earth with a gentle footprint, in good relationship with ourselves, one another and our environment - from the neighborhood to the planet Herself.

We're offering Reiki from 10 to 4, all three Fair days, in a smaller tent beyond our main tent. Two massage tables will be set up and Reiki practitioner volunteers will give Reiki to anyone interested. You can receive seated Reiki, if you prefer. Chairs will be set up for people waiting for a session - or for the person temporarily needing a quiet corner, away from the bustle of the Fair.

Friday Schedule

At 10:00 LIVING THE ENERGETIC LIFE Whole Life Tent staffperson Ed Wilkins kicks us off by discussing ways in which we can all personally "clean house".

At 11:00 THE WORK OF BYRON KATIE: LOVING WHAT IS Jen Deraspe (who leads Nurture Through Nature retreats) demonstrates a simple mental exercise which literally changes our perception and thereby the negative stories we run about ourselves and about life.

At 12:00: PREPARING FOR 2012: EARTH MOTHER RETURNS Patty & Ed Lueddeke Earth last experienced profound sunspot activity in 1859, when solar winds encased our planet in clouds of charged particles. Poet Walt Whitman experienced cosmic consciousness while walking on the beach. NASA believes Earth will soon experience this degree of solar activity again. Discuss the planetary ramifications of these phenomena with Patty and Ed Lueddeke.

At 1:00 ESSENTIAL OILS THAT FIGHT STAPH & VIRUS Deb Carlton specializes in therapeutic grade essential oil therapies for spinal alignment, immune health, and emotional wellness for self care, animal care and professional use.

At 2:00 PAIN-FREE W/EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE Sylvia Tavares demonstrates how to become stress and pain-free using EFT, the Emotional Freedom and Release Technique, which is so quickly and easily done - yet has such profoundly positive results.

At 2:30 METABOLIC TYPING DIET Dana Tavares has taken the training to be an advisor for the Certified Metabolic Typing Diet. Dana says that eating whole foods aligned with our genetic heritage gives optimal health. He explains that our nutritional requirements are as individual as our fingerprints. Using a detailed screening process and advanced computer technology, Dana can map individual nutritional requirements for you.

At 3:00 CONTACT REFLEX ANALYSIS Russell Savage ends Friday by using Contact Reflex Analysis to prove that "the body never lies". Body dowsing gives you information about your health and nutrition. Russ discusses detoxification and demonstrates the mechanical manipulation needed to return you to health.

Saturday Schedule

From 10:00 to 12:00 APPLYING BASIC DOWSING TO YOUR LIFE Steve Herbert shows us how to dowse to keep you, your home and your office clear and clean energetically. Steve will also cover agricultural dowsing and dowsing of auras. Children are welcome; they are often found to be excellent dowsers.

At 12:00 FENG SHUI BASICS Tina Munson explains the basic concepts of Feng Shui: how to use the ba gua and how to harmonize the chi of your home to support the life you desire. You will receive a diagram of the ba gua to aid you in your practice of fung shui and a basic beginners booklist.

1:00 HOMEOPATHY Dirk B. Vandersloot, M.D. will speak about the principles and practical application of homeopathy in particular, and the holistic approach to healthcare in general. Special attention will be given to infectious diseases, such as swine flu.

2:00 ONCE WE WERE HERE: MAINE'S FIRST PEOPLE Dressed in traditional regalia from the early 1700s, Jonathan Yellowbear (Sokoki Abenaki) and Lynn Sacobie (Passamaquoddy) discuss what life was like here for their ancestors in that time period, and in relationship to "the invaders".

3:00 HEART TEACHINGS WITH OLD TURTLE Ray and Nancy Reitze live off the grid, on 200 acres of forest and farm, fields with streams and a secluded pond in a cedar grove. Living what they teach, they grow food organically, get power for their two lights from the sun, have no running water, compost, and live simply. Ray grew up in central Maine, spending years with Grandfather, a Micmac Elder. Ray formulated his teachings from Grandfather's, learning how to talk directly with the Creator. The lessons Ray learned from this gentle, wise man benefitted him while in Vietnam (and for the rest of his life), causing him to befriend the people in the villages. Ray's book, "And We Shall Cast Rainbows Upon the Land", is an affirmation of how we aspire to live.

Sunday Schedule

At 10:00 on Sunday SHAMANIC JOURNEY: YOUR ANCESTRAL ROOTS Chris & Susan Bakaley Marshall believe that shamanism can assist us on our own spiritual path with the realization we are not alone. All of us have ancestors who were shamans. Guided by drumming, we'll explore the shamanic journey into spirit realms.

11:00 MEET YOUR SPIRIT GUIDE Annie Stillwater Gray will offer a guided meditation which connects you with your Spirit Guide. Fair attendees always react so positively to this well-attended workshop that we advise you to "come early and get a good seat".

12:00 With DANCES OF UNIVERSAL PEACE Michael Majid Monahan uses sacred phrases from many of the world's spiritual traditions set to simple melodies and circle-style dance movements which are joyous or meditative, or both. Everything is taught, so you need only step up, join hands and hearts, and celebrate. Praise the One!

1:00 BRAIN GYM IN ACTION: MOVE TO SUCCESS Educational Kinesiologist Beth Stoddard demonstates simple exercises to connect our left and right brains. This enables us to concentrate in school and at work - and can even help the map-challenged, lost by the side of the highway.

2:00 In MAGIC AS SPIRITUAL PRACTICE Rev. Dr. Anu Dudley explores magic as a technique for merging with Deity to accomplish one's goals. She defines magic and magical ethics and looks at how magic deepens one's relationship with the Divine. Participants will learn to formulate a spell, to raise enegy for the spell, and to cast the spell. Anu is an ordained Wiccan minister with the Temple of the Feminine Divine in Bangor.

3:00 ANIMAL TALK As we sit in the Tent, animal communicator Laurie Kennedy can - and will - speak with your cat, dog, bird, horse. Or, even the red squirrel noisily setting up housekeeping in your bedroom wall, troubleshooting and advocating for you and the animals in your life.
