Welcome from the Fair Director
Celebrations, anniversaries, even going out on Friday night are all important for our perspective. When we strive to live in the present moment, these events cause us to pause and take stock.
It's like transplanting cabbages. Living in the moment, we tuck each plant into the earth at the right depth and give it the support needed for growth. However, it's important to look back every 15 or 20 plants to see where you are in relation to where you started and whether you are still aligned with where you want to go. Only at the end of the row can you fully see all that has been accomplished and cast your eyes over the empty rows to be filled.
So let this 40th Common Ground Country Fair be a moment for you to stand up, take stock, look at all we have accomplished as a community and give a contented sigh over the progress we have made, the smiling faces of our friends, and the work ahead.
We look forward to seeing you at the Fair. Come celebrate what we have accomplished not only this year but over the past 40 years. We wouldn't have gotten this far without you.
