Children's Area

The Children's Area of the Common Ground Country Fair promotes sustainability and environmentally friendly living. In the Children's Crafts Area, young folks can learn about recycling and reusing discarded material while creating amazing artwork. Each year, the Children's Area is the fortunate recipient of all kinds of interesting cast-offs from fairgoers homes. Please consider donating any non-toxic items that you have lying around unused, and that your think might be an interesting addition to a child's recycled sculpture. Examples of appropriate materials include: egg cartons, yarn, colorful paper of all kinds, produce baskets, sequins, poster tubes, cloth scraps, packing material, driftwood, seashells, string, etc... We would greatly appreciate any non-toxic art supplies as well. If you have questions or ideas, contact Marie Hickey at marie@capelhouse.com. Thanks!

Common Kitchen

The Common Ground Common Kitchen serves roughly 2000 meals to hungry volunteers in the course of the Fair weekend. Almost all of the food comes from generous donors who love and support MOFGA and the Fair. If you would like to donate some food to help the effort, please contact Bill Whitman at bwhitman@mpbc.org.
