Throughout the year, MOFGA hosts hundreds of meetings, workshops, conferences, dinners and festive gatherings. Many take place at our Common Ground Education Center in Unity, Maine. Kitchen Licensing Workshop

Part 1: Thursday, December 3, 2020 – 9:30 a.m.  to 12 noon

Part 2: Tuesday, December 8, 2020 – 4 to 6 p.m.

REGISTRATION

Designed for farmers and others interested in home food processing for resale or beginning to sell new value-added products. Licensing requirements, food safety, product testing requirements and labeling will all be covered.

Beth Calder, Food Science Specialist from UMaine Cooperative Extension and Tom Cox, Consumer Food Inspector with Quality Assurance, Maine Dept. of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, will present in the first webinar. MOFGA Certification Services and experienced food businesses owners in Maine will share tips and tricks on navigating the licensing process in the 2nd webinar.

Both webinars will be recorded and shared with everyone who has registered.
