Focus Group – 2:15-4:30 p.m.

Are you a commercial organic vegetable grower? Join the University of Maine and University of New Hampshire for a focus group on February 26 about farm management practices that build soil health and contribute to climate resilience. The purpose of this focus group is to better understand challenges and barriers to adoption of practices including intensive cover cropping, diversified rotations, and reduced tillage. The February 26 focus group will be held after the MOFGA Southern Region Meeting at the Cumberland County Extension Office in Falmouth from 2:15-4:30. Participating farmers will be compensated $100 for their time and snacks will be provided. Attendance at the MOFGA meeting is not required, as this is a separate event. If you are interested in participating in this focus group or have any questions, please contact Natalie Lounsbury at or 207-577-4708. Focus group participation is limited to 10 farms and compensation is per farm, not per individual.
