Film Screening: Saving Walden’s World

MOFGA is proud to partner with the Maine Film Center in Waterville to present a free screening of Saving Walden’s World. This documentary, by Maine-based filmmaker Jim Merkel, follows his journey from government contractor to climate activist. Jim travels across continents to learn from societies that are living well with a small ecological footprint, and where women are powerful leaders in their communities.
 
Following the film, stay for a panel discussion with the filmmaker. Panelists include: 
  • Heather Spalding – Deputy Director at MOFGA
  • Elise Hartill – Director at Maine Youth for Climate Justice
  • Kaethe Rice – Cohort Co-Lead at Maine Youth for Climate Justice
  • Billie Watson – Director of Youth program at Cultivating Community
